Online learning is increasingly important for universities and other learning organisations. This workshop equips you with the know-how to develop effective online learning activities for your audiences.
Whether you are developing a standalone online course, enhancing existing digital learning or adding a digital dimension to face-to-face learning, this workshop will give you essential guidance.
The workshop addresses key topics, including:

  • Making the most of digital learning experiences and learning management systems
  • Making online learning or engagement accessible for diverse audiences
  • Avoiding common pitfalls in design of online learning and engagement
  • Evaluating quality of experience and impact of digital learning activities

The workshop is relevant to those involved in designing and evaluating online courses for formal education (e.g. within universities and colleges), MOOCS, online training and professional development.

Lisa Taylor-Sayles Professor

Lisa Sayles is Professor of Communication at College of the Redwoods in California (USA), where she teaches intercultural communication, interpersonal communication, small group communication, and Public Speaking.

As the Distance Education Coordinator for the College, she evaluates distance education curriculum, and trains and certifies instructors to design digital environments and teach in distance education modalities. She also delivers professional training on accessible online learning practices and effective communication in both formal and informal learning environments. Sayles holds a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Art from The Art Institute of Boston and a Master of Science in communication studies from Portland State University.
