This workshop provides practical guidance on observation and survey methods, as well as new automated approaches to quantifying quality of customer experience and audience impact.

Dr. John Fraser President & CEO

Dr. John Fraser is the president and CEO of New Knowledge Organisation Ltd. His research focuses on how our experience with media and community influences learning, attitudes, and motivations for engagement with solving the problems that face society.

He holds adjunct faculty positions at Hunter College (CUNY), Columbia University, Canisius College, and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He holds the California Academy of Sciences appointment as Associate Editor - Operations for Curator: The Museum Journal, and serves as a founding editorial board member for Museums & Social Issues. He is also a Research Scientist with Columbia University's Earth Institute. NKO_2015

Dr. Eric Jensen Associate Professor

Dr. Eric Jensen (Associate Professor, Dept. of Sociology, University of Warwick) is a leading social scientist specializing in innovative methods of conducting impact evaluation research in informal learning and public engagement contexts.

Jensen is author of Doing Real Research: A Practical Guide to Social Research (SAGE). He has extensive experience designing and conducting quantitative and mixed methods evaluations at institutions including the National Gallery, London Zoo, Natural History Museum, Cheltenham Literature Festival, the British Museum, San Diego Zoo and Bronx Zoo. Dr. Jensen holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cambridge (UK). He teaches social research methods at the University of Warwick.
