Lauren Humphrey

Lead Evaluator, National Marine Aquarium

Lauren Humphrey is the Lead Evaluator for the National Marine Aquarium. Lauren’s evaluation journey at the National Marine Aquarium began with developing a system to assess the effectiveness of the learning team and school visits.

Since then, she has evaluated visitor satisfaction, guided exhibit design and measured the outcomes of conservation projects, both within the aquarium but also as an external consultant are a day to day occurrence. More recently, Lauren has developed, managed and delivered the Conservation through Tourism Award project, which combines elements of marine biology as well as evaluation. Lauren’s degree and voluntary experience fostered a strong sense of the importance of marine conservation but her experience at the aquarium has highlighted the necessity of measuring the outcomes of projects, interactions and exhibits in demonstrating the value of an organisation and its outputs.
